Seeing hidden facets of life with 3D animation
Computer graphics can allow us to do incredible things, including insights in to pregnancy and how human life develops.
These images are a part of a medical anatomy project where 3D geometry of fetus development was modelled and rendered with physically based skin subsurfaces scattering shaders to render and visualize a baby before birth. Here we see shots where the baby is composed without the constrictions of the womb allowing a lot of freedom to manuever camera and animation, rendering different views of the facial features, face, cheeks, eye sockets and brows, mouth and ears, also development of the hands and feet. Soft and gentle lighting, texturing and post production was applied, suitable for this section of the project goals.
